A Case of Ileal Anisakiasis

Abstract
Anisakiasis is infastation by the third stage of larval nematodes of the family anisakidae and is encountered in people who eat inadequately prepared salt water fish or squid. Within a fewhours after oral ingestion, larvas invade the wall of
stomach or
intestine, and develop acute gastrointestinal symptoms. The diagnosis is made by the stiking feature of larva showing a thick multilayered cuticle, well developed musculature beneath the hypodermis, two Y-shaped lateral chords. And large
esophagus
at
center. The stomach is most frequentely invaded site, the small intestine is relatively uncommon, and large bowel is rarely involved.
So we report one case of ileal anisakiasis complicated intestinal obstruction and briefly review the lterature.
